Strongly supported by the Monini family and established with the collaboration of the homonymous Foundation, the Foundation Festival dei Due Mondi and the Spoleto Town Hall, the Documentation Center for the Festival dei Due Mondi has its natural home in Casa Menotti, the historic building in Piazza Duomo, where the festival was created and where the Maestro Giancarlo Menotti lived, composed and hosted international artists. The Documentation Center, which is the sign of continuity among past, present and future, is home to all the documentary, audio, video, photographic and paper material, carefully catalogued and digitized, relative to the editions of the Festival from 1958 to our day. As of this year, among the most fascinating documents that enrich the Casa Menotti halls, there are also the articles, reports and pictures of the photographer and Rai author Francesco Carlo Crispolti, sent to Spoleto from 1960 to 1974, and the precious materials furnished by Rai Teche. The Documentation Center, historic memory of the Festival, open to all, will consent a real journey into time and into the arts, thanks to the most advanced multimedia systems.
