ANTONIO MARRAS & DANILO BUCCHI
Together We are More

A big name in Fashion and an Italian artist who are rapidly expanding meet in the rooms of the Noble Floor. Two approaches to construction, two ways of elaborating that integrate in their ways and structures. The design, primary code for Bucchi, is the creative source for Marras, his faithful memory. Dressing bodies, the working attitude of Marras, is instead the implicit tension of Bucchi, a pictorial tailoring that seeks the distinguishing code and the emotional alchemy on surfaces. An exhibition for four hands that reflects on the rules of design, on the relation between image and materials, on the steps within the creative process. When the dress becomes custom.

COSMOGONIA presents
THE TWO WORLDS OF MARIO SCHIFANO IN A TRULY PRIVATE COLLECTION

The story of a woman told through a special piece of the collection of contemporary art. Marina Deserti, successful businesswoman, retraces her life together with Mario Schifano’s works, collected over the years with a continuous link between art and everyday passions, family and leisure, memories and desire for the future. A selection of works for a journey into twelve thematic sections with many new ones and, for the first time, the complete hall with the four large paintings Ex Film. Drawings, paintings, collages, manipulated photographs and sculptures which cross the worlds of Schifano inside the personal stories of a "truly" private collection.

GIANFRANCO CHIAVACCI
Binary

A master of experimental photography, an unrestrained researcher who has been working on the iconographic codes of film and the conceptual themes between photography and painting for fifty years. The complex pictorial research of the career of Gianfranco Chiavacci (1936-2011), is presented in Spoleto, dedicated to the theme of binary on two-dimensional surfaces. An artist with whom to investigate the links between image and technology, science and visual composition, materials and perception. The exhibition of Spoleto is part of a double exhibition project: after the summer stage dedicated to painting, Palazzo Fabroni (Pistoia, spring, 2014) will devote a large retrospective to the photographic work of Chiavacci.

GIUSEPPE RIPA
In a certain sense, a retrospective exhibit

The journey of Palazzo Collicola into Italian Contemporary Photography continues. And now it is the turn of Giuseppe Ripa, an Italian artist with mature experience in the field of the unstable planet, the author of seven serial moments that have seen a parallel editorial line with the brand Charta. The Spoleto project will have its focus on the American cycles Moondance and Liminal. A third section will be dedicated to the new series called Seaside. The last section will regard the previous cycles Anima Mundi, Tibet, Memorie di pietra, Lightly, Aquarium, evoked in the exhibit by the homonymous art books (published by Charta) and a slide show with the works not exhibited in the other rooms. Ripa recovers photography to its archetypes and pristine purity by downplaying the importance of specific places and favouring the comprehensive vision, the knowledge-based approach and emotional empathy.

GIULIANO CORELLI
Daily Mirror

Giuliano Corelli (Condino, 1971) is an abnormal and refined artist, devoid of expository ardour, focused on working in his studio since 2007, when he moved to Tuscany and began to carve marble. From that day  nine large sculptures have been created with the typical white Carrara, all on natural scale, nine positions from the daily life of his urban men with contemporary, catalyzing features. Nine visions, which across cathartic postures and actions overturn the static nature of the dummy and imply a moral reading, a code of ethics that takes the monumentality to lead it back to daily life, just as it happened yesterday with George Segal and today with Ray Charles.

Collicola onthewall presents
2501_BORONDO_ LUCAMALEONTE_ MONEYLESS_ WRONG

Five new works on the walls of Palazzo Collicola Visual Arts, confirming a vocation of the museum for urban languages and new expressive codes. The works represent additional entries in the interstitial areas of the structure, thus expanding a wall mapping that takes from the Sol LeWitt room entitled "Bands of Color." For the Spoleto museum this is the confirmation of special attention for the codes of metropolitan art, in tune with the MOCA in Los Angeles, the Tate Modern in London and the other spaces that follow the most innovative frequencies of contemporary art.
