On the occasion of the Spoleto 56 Festival dei 2Mondi the European Film
Academy will hold its official selection meeting in Spoleto. The meeting
takes place every year in June to establish the selection list, the
list of approx. 40 films recommended to the more than 2,800 EFA Members
who vote for the nominees and, after that, for the winners of the annual
European Film Awards. This year’s 26th awards ceremony will take place
in Berlin on 7 December. Participants in the selection meeting will
include French producer Yves Marmion, chairman of the EFA Board, deputy
chairman Nik Powell (director of the National Film and Television
School, UK), and board members Bruno Chatelin (producer, France),
Adriana Chiesa di Palma (international distributor/producer, Italy),
