The new performance of the most irreverent and explosive pair on the contemporary theatrical scene is charged with provocation and harsh criticism against the bonfire of vanities in today’s society. ricci/forte start out with Troilus and Cressida by Shakespeare engaging some students from the Scuola del Biondo in a performance to the last breath which unmasks the falsehood and emptiness of power: "In Troilus and Cressida, the two directors explain, the Bard criticizes the range of mimetic phenomena, where the mechanism of greediness leads without a doubt to destruction: the politics of erotic desire that has intercourse with the politics of lack of authority. As prophets of the hypercontemporary advertising, the individuals of this tragedy produce idols to fill their otherwise pointless days. The Power of Beauty and Command are scepters difficult to reach or maintain. The price is very high, but Greeks and Trojans are willing to pay it, just like their postmodern imitators, preferring the fame of TV and its derivatives. For longed for 15 minutes of celebrity we are willing to do everything, even to abdicate our principles, ethics and morals, assuming they are present".

It is the destiny of the relics/remains, of cardboard stars designed to illuminate the night sky of nonsense and point us to a variable direction, made of luxurious Nothing.

In TROILUSvsCRESSIDA, we recover the animal wheeze that inhabits every figure of the drama: politicians, warriors or lovers all worried about keeping the appearances of a volatile success. In a massmediaddicted planetary system, individual value is measured solely on the basis of what is called visibility. The tyrannical role of fashion overwhelms consciences, especially those young people looking for prominence. Infatuations which vanish within a few hours, Messiahs proclaimed and overthrown more and more rapidly, create a short breath, like in pursuit, from anger in wanting to cry out I exist !, even if exclusively in the eyes of others.
The grammar adopted, the dramaturgical choices applied to an eloquence that is clearly stitched on the Present, flaunting the reflection of a glorious past, describe a real difficulty nowadays to relieve us from the junk of an induced survival.
There are no good or bad guys in our glance on Troy: on the great ride of the Ferris wheel, just us, men, abandoned, because God does not exist. He’s just a Lady Gaga’s avatar.
