THE FESTIVAL OF SPOLETO RAVISHES CARTAGENA AND ITS PUBLIC WITH THE NOZZE DI FIGARO
A twenty minute applause and the undeniable emotion of the public have rewarded the enormous organizational and artistic effort which has brought together the Festival of Two Worlds and the Festival Internacional de Mùsica de Cartagena for the fulfillment of the Nozze di Figaro by Mozart at the Adolfo Mejía Theater in the magnificent city of Colombia.
Giorgio Ferrara, curator of the staging, and the Italian crew who followed him - Patrizia Frini, assistant director, Ottorino Neri, stage manager, Nora Guazzotti, Organizational Director, Fiammetta Baldisseri, light designer, Marta Rinaldi, costume assistant, Massimiliano Marotta, stage technician - have just returned from the "mission" that has laid a significant cultural bridge between Europe and Colombia.
The opera, which was an artistic project of the Festival of Two Worlds produced by the Teatro Coccia Foundation in collaboration with Spoleto59 and the Festival of Cartagena, had inaugurated the last edition of the Festival of Spoleto with the same success.

The debut at Cartagena on January13th, with a repeat performance on the 15th, has not only meant the excellent success of the artistic collaboration between the two Festivals, but also and above all a cultural activity of great importance, since this was the first opera represented in its entirety in the history of the city. A prestigious production directed by Giorgio Ferrara, the scenic design by Dante Ferretti and Francesca Lo Schiavo, the costumes by Maurizio Galante, the conductor Gérard Korsten, the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional De Colombia, the choir director Luis Díaz Hérodier for La Ópera de Colombia and, in the main roles, the new Italian cast Elena Belfiore, Andrea Concetti, Serena Gamberoni, Eva Mei and Vittorio Prato, together with the Colombian singers Alejandra Acuña, Juan David González, Julieth Lozano, Pablo Martínez, Hans Ever Mogollón and Alexis Trejos.
