The Carla Fendi Foundation reveals a new field of interest, as it opens to Science intended as research, intuition, and Art, for the first time. In light of this, the Foundation is bringing a historic-scientific exhibition to the Festival. A project that is taking on a twin-track approach: two installations in a journey between the past and the future.
The LEGEND theme will be portrayed In the Lucrezia Borgia Armoury, former Civic Museum. Here, in an emotionally captivating set design, precious artefacts will be presented: from ancient Oriental Schists (II – IV century A.D.), from the Gandhara region, shown alongside Classic Western Works from the Greek-Roman period. A historic/artistic journey into a meeting of the West and the East, exploring how these two worlds have been able to build culturally on spiritualist ambition.
Scientific consultants: Prof. Marco Galli, Dott.ssa Laura Giuliano.
At the same time, SCIENCE will be the protagonist in the Manna d’Oro Church. A virtual, astrophysical installation that will take us from the Big Bang Theory all the way to the ultimate contemporary scientific research centre, the CERN ,European Organization for Nuclear Research, Geneva. A journey through time and space, also thanks to the experience of the INFN, National Institute for Nuclear Physics.
A performance will precede the inauguration of the installations. On stage, a themed play, a video, futuristic musical spaces and authoritative testimonies will carry the audience into the exchange that has always moved man between spirituality and reason.
The curator for the installation on the Legend theme and the director of the opening performance is Quirino Conti.
The curators for the Science installation are Lucas-Federica Grigoletto.
