The Monini Award "Una Finestra sui Due Mondi"/A Window on Two Worlds, now at its ninth edition, has become a traditional date of the Festival. Established by the Monini Family in 2010, it is consigned, as tradition, by Maria Flora and Zefferino Monini to national and international known artists, together with a "Special Award" dedicated to young emerging talents participating in the Festival. This year the award goes to Victoria Thierrée Chaplin, creator and director of the show Bells and Spells and to the young Benedetta Torre, soprano in the inaugural Opera Minotaur and in the dramatic oratorio Joan of Arc at the Stake.
The winners of the award will greet the Festival audience from the window of Casa Menotti, just like the Maestro Gian Carlo Menotti, founder of the Festival, used to do. Casa Menotti, historical site and former home of the famous composer, is now managed by the Foundation Monini and is home to the Documentation Centre of the Festival of Two Worlds.
