This year as well, the media partner of the Festival, la Repubblica, always attentive towards young people and to the future, awards a young talent in the artistic field.
The actor Michele Riondino receives the award. Born in 1979, after graduating from the Silvio D´Amico Academy of Dramatic Arts and having worked in theater, directed by important directors such as Giuseppe Patroni Griffi, Marco Bellocchio and Emma Dante, Michele Riondino made his debut in the television series Distretto di Polizia (2003-05) and La freccia nera (2006). Since 2012 he has been the protagonist of the fiction Il giovane Montalbano, which has had great success with the public and critics. Among his cinematographic experiences, we recall Il passato č una terra straniera (2008), Fortapāsc (2009) and Dieci inverni (2009). In 2013 he published his autobiographical book Rubare la vita agli altri. Among his latest films: Acciaio (2012), Bella addormentata (2012), Il giovane favoloso (2014), Senza lasciare traccia and La ragazza del mondo, both in 2016, and Falchi (2017). In 2017 he also took part in the documentary film Diva!, while in 2018 he starred in the cinematographic film Nome di donna and in the television film La mossa del cavallo. For his talent and versatility he has received numerous awards.
