’COSĖ FAN TUTTE’ FROM SPOLETO 58 ON STAGE IN COLOMBIA AT THE CARTAGENA FESTIVAL

After its debut at the Festival of 2Worlds in 2015 and the success of the 2016/17 tour, the opera "Cosė fan tutte" by Mozart, artistic project of the Spoleto Festival produced with the Coccia Theater Foundation, is to be staged at the Cartagena Festival International de Mųsica on January 11th and 13th, with the director Giorgio Ferrara, the conductor Benjamin Bayl, and sets and costumes by Dante Ferretti and Francesca Lo Schiavo.

The third and last of the three operas written by the Salzburg composer upon a libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte, after "Le nozze di Figaro" and "Don Giovanni", "COSĖ FAN TUTTE or La scola degli amanti" is directed by Giorgio Ferrara again, while the direction of the Orquesta Filarmónica de Medellin is entrusted to conductor Benjamin Bayl; the scenes and costumes are by Dante Ferretti and Francesca Lo Schiavo; the lighting design is by Fiammetta Baldiserri and Gerardo Buzzanca; the choir is from the Ópera De Colombia.

The cast of singers includes the soprano Lucrezia Drei in the role of Fiordiligi and the mezzosoprano Elena Belfiore in that of Dorabella, accompanied by the baritone Gabriele Nani in the role of Guglielmo, the tenor Daniele Zanfardino in the role of Ferrando, the soprano Julieth Lozano in the role of Despina and, as Don Alfonso, the baritone Roberto De Candia.
