The Olympic dream surrounds the building of the Municipality of Spoleto which hosts an exhibit on Giulio Onesti, a decisive figure in the world of sport responsible for the revival of Italian sport, but also of Italian costume in the last fifty years. There is also an exhibit on motorcycling, a national sport which boasts a great tradition in Umbria.
Furthermore, the Festival stage will host the actors and actresses of the successes of the Italian Olympic games thanks to a program created by the School of Sport, the Regional School of Umbria and the Federations involved. The champions past and present who have had their name written in the world sporting firmament will be interviewed on two dates by masters of journalism and literature to recount their Olympic experiences, driven by great motivation and pure, strong, polite values which inspired them in their feats. The “CONI for the Festival”, with civil and military Sports Groups and their fundamental contribution to Italian sport told by their athletes, technicians and managers, will be welcomed with a concert given by the Italian Army Musical Band scheduled at the Teatro Romano.
The second literary gathering is dedicated to Motorcycling. It will host some of the most beloved heroes who have inspired and continue to influence young people of all generations.
After the success of the previous editions, the CONI thus confirms its participation in the Festival for the third year. The positive values which guide the champions of Italian sport enriches the event, with culture acting as a common thread between two worlds only apparently distant.
