The Festival of Two Worlds in Spoleto invites the public to discover the secrets “behind the scenes”, organizing guided tours of the theaters and in particular in the usually inaccessible places where preparations for the shows are in full swing.
Those who love going to the theater know the emotion of the moments that precede a performance. The curtain is still closed, the lights in the room fade and then go out. Silence falls and the atmosphere is special. What happens beyond the scenes we can only imagine.
Hence, the idea of proposing this unique experience. The itinerary starts from the foyer of the Teatro Nuovo Gian Carlo Menotti with a visit to the beautiful XVII September hall, the Jerome Robbins terrace, the orchestra pit where internationally renowned conductors have worked, the places within the structure that allow totally new visions and perspectives of the stage, to visit the costume shop, and then reach the seventeenth-century Caio Melisso Space Carla Fendi Theater and learn about the transformations it has undergone over time.
The initiative takes advantage of the collaboration of the Classical Lyceum of Spoleto in the framework of the Territorial Guides project.
For groups of more than 10 people and for visits in English, French and Spanish, booking and subsequent confirmation is required, sending the list with the names of all participants for security reasons.
The groups will consist of a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 20 participants and only two groups will be able to visit at the same time.
For technical needs related to the planning of the institutional activity, the itinerary of the visit could vary even just before the appointment.
