CULTURAL HERITAGE RESCUE PRIZE

Second edition



The second edition of The International Prize for the Brave who defend and save cultural heritage in danger is awarded to Spoleto this year in the ambit of the Festival of Two Worlds.
The initiative was founded and is coordinated by Francesco Rutelli, President of the Associazione Priorità Cultura(Association Priority Culture).
The international jury of the prize is composed of: Francesco Rutelli, President, Mounir Bouchenaki, Special Adviser to the Director General of UNESCO, former Director of ICCROM, Bonnie Burnham, President Emeritus of the World Monuments Fund, New York, Noah Charney, Director of ARCA, Association for Research into Crime against Art, USA, Stefano De Caro, Director General of the ICCROM - International Center for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property, Jack Lang, former French Minister of Culture, today the President of the Institut du Monde Arabe in Paris, Giovanni Nistri, former Commander of the Carabinieri for the Protection of Artistic Heritage and Director of the Geat Pompeii Project, Catherine Anne Robert-Hauglustaine, Director General of ICOM - International Council of Museums, Ismail Serageldin, Director of the New Library of Alexandria in Egypt, former Vice President of the World Bank, Peter Watson, writer, author of exposes on the purloining of Cultural Heritage, London.
