Little is known about the last hours of Jesus in general; even less is known about the Palestinian political and military situation in those years. Yet they are fundamental elements to better understand the tragic fate of that Right. Why was Jesus arrested? What were the charges? What drove the Roman prosecutor to issue a death sentence? Do the Gospels (canonical and non) give a thorough - and unanimous - explanation of the events? Or not? Why do they talk so little about Mary, and nothing is said about Joseph? Who was Judas really? Why did he betray?
If we begin to ask these questions we notice immediately that we know very little about an event narrated a hundred times; the dark sides and the unanswered questions clearly prevail upon the facts known.
The show makes use of images accompanied by doleful music to stimulate the viewer towards the discovery of a Jesus who is not "a victim of a power game" but rather someone ready to put his own life at stake for his ideas.
The discovery, in some ways amazing, is that a Jesus tied to the land and the time who was the supporter of a revolutionary message, glows with a brighter light than usual, becoming even more fascinating and moving.
