A tour of the Mahler & LeWitt Studios dedicate to exploring the artists and their works, as well as the interaction between their creative talent and the culture of the region in which they worked. Located in the heart of Spoleto, in the narrow streets near Piazza del Mercato, the former studios of Anna Mahler and Sol LeWitt have been transformed into new residences; since 2010, these ateliers in the medieval town have offered a stimulating environment for the artists that inhabit them. The tour leads from Mahler’s house, through the streets of the old town, to the Cinema Room, to the Sol LeWitt Studio, to the Quasi Book and the Torre Bonomo, which hosts the solo exhibition Allunati by artist Rä di Martino, curated in collaboration with the Mahler & LeWitt Studios by gallery owner Valentina Bonomo. It then leads to the installation in Piazza del Mercato Neon Hieroglyph by artist Tai Shani (a Turner Prize winner) and to the final leg at Palazzo Collicola Museo Carandente, to the Sol LeWitt room and Video Rooms.
Also in the Museum is the exhibition Resistance by artist Josè Angelino curated by Davide Silvioli and organised with the Alessandra Bonomo gallery. The exhibition is organised in collaboration with the Fondazione Carla Fendi and Mahler & Lewitt Studios.
