Concerti di mezzogiorno
Greek myth runs like a golden thread through the Western musical tradition, twisting around masterpieces, becoming a tapestry for Baroque composers. The Nymphs moved the pen of Orazio Vecchi, the Titans that of Joseph Bodin de Boismortier, Attilio Ariosti tried to save Proserpina from her captor. And how else could François Couperin pay homage to his friend and composer Corelli than by admitting him to Apollo's side in Parnassus?
