Synopsis
Temple Rat is a Chinese-born composer, multi-instrumentalist, and producer based in Berlin. Her practice emerges from the fusion of traditional Chinese instrumentation with contemporary electronics, field recording, and self-built sound design. Classically trained and inspired by Berlin’s underground scene, she has carved out a distinctive space within the contemporary landscape, with cinematic performances presented at venues such as Berghain, RSO, and Macadam. Following her acclaimed EP Composition of Air for Siamese Twins Records, her latest work Some Leaves Must Fall 聽其自然 was released in March of this year by Buttheads.
