20 opere per 20 regioni: INPS e Arte Umbria
20 opere per 20 regioni: INPS e Arte Umbria
Synopsis
Presentation of the volume 20 opere per 20 regioni, produced by the Central Communication Directorate of INPS, under the leadership of Diego De Felice. Each volume in the series is devoted to a different Italian region and offers an educational journey, inviting the public to discover art as a means of personal and social growth. The works, texts, and critical essays are the result of a collaborative effort by INPS staff across the country, allowing audiences not only to admire masterpieces but also to grasp the artists’ message and the universal significance of art.
Elisa Maria Spagnolo, Regional Director of INPS Umbria, has championed this cultural initiative, through which INPS seeks to enhance its artistic heritage and the many historic buildings it preserves throughout Italy. The volume dedicated to the Umbria region focuses in particular on the artistic heritage connected to the former Convent of Saints Simone and Jude in Spoleto, now part of the Unified Boarding School – a place that embodies a living collective narrative and reinforces the Institute’s public mission.
Through this initiative, the INPS Regional Directorate of Umbria aims to ensure that its heritage is actively experienced and passed on, contributing to the development of a welfare system that is open to participation and culture.
INPS thus reaffirms its role not only as a key institution within the welfare system, but also as a guardian of memory, identity, and national culture. In a time of profound change, INPS renews its mission by promoting social cohesion and widespread well-being, also through the preservation and dissemination of cultural heritage. Restoring frescoes and returning spaces to the community becomes an act of care and an investment in the country’s cultural growth.
