Socially Correct 2026
Healthy Nutrition and Physical Activity: Two Allies for a Healthy Life
Socially Correct 2026
Synopsis
The “Paolo Ettorre – Socially Correct” Association was founded in 2008 to honor Paolo Ettorre’s dedication to social communication, with the aim of developing projects that enhance social responsibility through advertising and events.
The Socially Correct competition offers students of art and communication the opportunity to participate as creative pairs, testing their talent by designing campaigns on important and often challenging social issues.
For the 18th edition of the competition, the theme of the communication project – promoted by the Directorate-General for Healthy Lifestyles and Relations with the Ecosystem of the Ministry of Health – is the promotion of healthy lifestyles among adolescents.
Recent data from the HBSC Italy surveillance system indicate a significant rise in the number of overweight adolescents. To reduce the risk of overweight and obesity, within a broader strategy aimed at encouraging healthy and active lifestyles, it is essential to act on children’s habits – the adults of tomorrow – and on their key environments (family, school, peer groups, etc.).
The winning campaign will therefore aim to raise awareness among adolescents of the health and psycho-physical benefits that can be gained by adopting a healthy lifestyle (a diet based on the principles of the Mediterranean diet and regular physical activity, especially group sports, which also foster socialization). Furthermore, it will seek to counter the upward trend in overweight rates and promote initiatives that do not exacerbate social inequalities arising from unequal access to opportunities among adolescents and their families.
