XVII Socially Correct competition
Cybersecurity
Our new challenge
CYBERSECURITY - Our new challenge is the title of the XVII Socially Correct competition - a communication project of the Paolo Ettorre - Socially Correct association - in collaboration with the National Cybersecurity Agency and the advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi, to create a communication campaign to inform citizens about the importance of protecting security and resilience in cyberspace. The Paolo Ettorre - Socially Correct Association, which was founded in 2008 to testify to Paolo Ettorre's dedication to social communication, announces a competition every year aimed at students who attend university courses in the communication sector, with the objective of developing a campaign on a social theme. The competition is developed in collaboration with Saatchi & Saatchi and provides, for the creative couple of the winning campaign composed of an Art Director and a Copywriter, the opportunity to carry out an internship experience in the creative department of the Agency where Paolo Ettorre carried out his career. The 2025 competition has cybersecurity as its theme. Geopolitical tensions, the progressive dependence on digital devices, technological competition, have transformed cybersecurity into a central issue for the country's security, for its prosperity and international projection, for the perception of the security of its citizens who constantly use personal media and social channels to know, tell and comment on facts of public importance in real time. The National Cybersecurity Agency, established in 2021 to protect security and resilience in cyberspace, has the task of protecting national security and safeguarding national interests. In fact, it deals with the protection of national strategic assets, preventing and mitigating cyberattacks, ensuring greater security and resilience in the field of cybersecurity and in the country's digital transition to encourage the achievement of technological autonomy by all the actors involved: companies, institutions and private citizens. At the same time, it carries out an activity to raise awareness, build and disseminate the culture of cybersecurity throughout the country. The objective of the campaign is to build notoriety about the role and values of the ACN, establishing a bond of trust with people and to stimulate the responsibility and attention of every citizen in daily activities related to the digital world as the main tool for preventing cyber risk (cyber hygiene). It is known, in fact, that one of the main factors in the success of cyberattacks derives from human error. This is why knowledge and information are enablers of information security, not only for the development of specialized skills, but for developing a sensitivity, 'a ear like for music', a critical approach to a crucial issue for citizens, in particular for the most vulnerable. The Paolo Ettorre — Socially Correct association had the honor of presenting the winning campaign of the competition, already in its first edition, as part of the Spoleto Festival dei Due Mondi at a dedicated event that this year will host leading national cybersecurity experts for a roundtable discussion on the topic.
