Synopsis
“One alone, to not be alone.” We find ourselves immersed in a war without name or definition. We live through it, and it lives through us, even if we can't name it. Yet, it concerns us. Our daily lives are largely shaped by a silent alertness and circumspection: our time of peace is far from peaceful, but rather nervous, hysterical, and distrustful.
What is war: is it what happens outside? In newspapers? On battlefields, in our homes, within ourselves? How many forms does war take? Or is it rather one and the same thing? Is it what happens outside of us that affects our way of being, or is it perhaps the opposite? As individuals, we are alone: professionally alone, emotionally alone, physically alone, socially alone (a now tangible oxymoron). However, a post-war era might be possible: once humanity's disaster is acknowledged and everything needs rebuilding, we could find each other again, side by side and less alone, through a concrete physical effort, moving beyond loneliness and fear, because fear itself needs a world to exist. How can I be less alone through a single one? There is no more space or time to be human.
Paradise is a manifestation of the present moment.
