A Three-Legged Cat It is a musical and theatrical show inspired by the famous novel Jasmine in the Land of Liars by Gianni Rodari. The story is a journey into the land of liars, where the laws of reality are completely overturned and all truth is banned. When Jasmine, a young man with a very powerful voice, arrives in this strange world, his gift becomes the tool to combat oppression and lies, trying to bring back the truth to a place where everything is backwards. The show, lasting 50 minutes, combines the orchestra of wind and percussion with the story of two of the most significant episodes of the novel, staging the magic of the world created by Rodari, between irony and civil commitment.

Rolando Macrini is a director and theater director with an international career. He directed the CUT “La Torre” University Theater Center of the University of Tuscia from 1999 to 2009 and studied at La MaMa Experimental Theater Club in New York and La MaMa Umbria International in Spoleto. His theatrical productions have been presented in Italy and abroad, with shows such as The Grand Inquisitor, Hamletmaschine, Caligula and Galileo, winner of the MIBAC Young Italian Artists award. Her approach is characterized by an experimental, musical and visual interpretation, influenced by Ellen Stewart's philosophy and world theater. Macrini has been collaborating since 2017 with the University of Teramo, DAMS, Antonio D'Antò, composer and conductor, has obtained a degree in Piano and Composition at the “Licinio Refice” Conservatory in Frosinone and a diploma in Conducting at the “S. Cecilia” Conservatory in Rome. He studied with important teachers such as Carmela Pistillo, Roman Vlad and Franco Ferrara. He alternates his activities between composition, direction and piano, specializing in modern and contemporary music. He has published more than one hundred works for various bodies, and has authored numerous CDs recorded with international labels. He has collaborated with renowned artists and orchestras, and his music is a perfect balance between sound research and tradition.
