Accabadora is an intense and poetic reflection on the condition of women, yesterday, today and tomorrow. Through a choreographic language rich in symbolism, Lunella Cherchi and Caterina Campo explore the roles, expectations and struggles of women in a society in continuous transformation. The scene is a living installation, full of flour, mirrors, pillows, milk and blood, which becomes a metaphor for the female body and its transformations. The show is dedicated to all women: grandmothers, mothers, daughters, girls, always dressed up and out of disguise.
Lunella Cherchi and Caterina Campo are two Italian artists who collaborate in the field of contemporary dance. In 2024, their project 'Accabadora' won the Bottom Up call. Caterina Campo, originally from Tuscany, studied dance in Italy and Brussels; Lunella Cherchi has a solid background in theater and contemporary dance. Together, they create performances that explore themes related to identity, memory and cultural traditions.
