Germe

An experience that challenges borders and opens up new possibilities. It takes place the moment before something takes shape, in a process that is not yet defined. Like a performative installation, “Germe” can evolve over time, in both closed and outdoor spaces. It combines art, science and social reflections, allowing us to get in touch with an organism that grows like a virus, in search of something deeper. In line with Scie, “Germe” explores the concept of paths that move, inviting us to reflect on ongoing transformations and traces left in time and space.

Founded by choreographer and performer Stefanie Batten Bland, SBB Company is a contemporary dance company that combines art, science and social reflections in its productions. Their works are characterized by fluid and suggestive movements, creating unique artistic experiences that challenge the boundaries between different disciplines. Stefanie Batten Bland, of French-American origin, is an internationally recognized choreographer and director for her multidisciplinary approach and her ability to merge dance, theater and visual arts. Trained at the Juilliard School and with a career that includes collaborations with leading artists and institutions, Batten Bland creates works that explore themes such as identity, memory and transformation, often involving the public in immersive and participatory experiences.
