An autobiographical experience that explores the link between trauma and collective memory. Emerging South Korean artist Son Hee-beom uses puppets, videos and symbolism to transform personal nightmares into a universal experience. The show is inspired by traditional Korean rituals and pop culture, creating a unique and suggestive visual language. History of Nightmares is an avant-garde experimental work of art, which explores with courage and originality the boundaries between theater, multimedia and rituality, transforming collective memory and deepest fears into a unique and engaging artistic experience.
Son Hee-beom is a South Korean multidisciplinary artist, active in theater direction, dance, puppet scenography, sound design and video design.
